ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 25 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's American Forces Information Service issued the following news release:

As humanitarian relief operations continue in Haiti, the Army National Guard stands ready to provide personnel and equipment to support the mission, senior Army Guard officials said today.
