NEW YORK, Jan. 25 -- United Nations Development Programme issued the following news release:
The top United Nations envoy to Haiti, which was devastated by a massive earthquake nearly two weeks ago, today proposed a new way to coordinate relief efforts in the Caribbean nation to ensure that aid reaches those who need it.
Edmond Mulet, the Secretary-General's acting Special Representative, unveiled that plan at a "Friends of Haiti" meeting in Montreal today . . .
