WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 -- Rep. Nick Joe Rahall, D-W.Va. (3rd CD), issued the following news release:
U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (W.Va.-03) voted in favor of H.R. 3548, the Unemployment Compensation Act of 2009, which passed the House of Representatives late Tuesday evening by a vote of 331-83.
The bill will provide immediate assistance by extending relief to the estimated 3,756 West Virginians who would otherwise exhaust their unemployment benefits by the end of the year. . . .
