WASHINGTON, July 21 -- The office of Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Today, U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) voted against Amendment 1469, which strikes $1,750,000,000 in Air Force funding for F-22A aircraft procurement from the Defense Authorization Bill. The Amendment passed the U.S. Senate by a 58-40 vote. Sen. Hutchison made the following statement regarding its passage:
