KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, N.M., Oct. 22 -- The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Directed Energy Directorate issued the following press release:

Gen. Norton A. Schwartz, Air Force Chief of Staff, announced Sept. 26 that Kirtland AFB had won the Air Force Innkeeper Award for the large base category and Aviano Air Base, Italy for small base.
