TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Aug. 23 -- The city of Tallahassee issued the following news release:
City of Tallahassee emergency responders have closed both the north and south lanes of Monroe Street just south of the Tallahassee Mall due to a large oak tree lying on power lines. Police and Fire have closed the road due to safety concerns and electric and tree crews are responding.
Motorists are asked to avoid this area. Also, citizens are encouraged to stay off city streets . . .
