FORT MEYERS, Fla., Jan. 23 -- The Lee County School District has issued the following news release:
After reviewing the candidates for the 2008 Support Person of the Year, the District is proud to announce that Paula Backus, a School Bus Operator in West Zone Transportation, has been named the 2008 Educational Support Person of the Year. Her dedication to her profession and the students of Lee County is what set Ms. Backus apart and made her the clear choice for this honor.
