BAY MINETTE, Ala., Sept. 14 -- Baldwin County issued the following news release:
Baldwin County has been listed as number 65 on the U.S. Census Bureau's list of 100 Fastest Growing Counties with 5,000 or more housing units from 2000-2006.
Baldwin County is the only county in the state of Alabama to make the list. Baldwin County had a 29.8 percent increase in housing from 2000, which totaled 74,285 units, to 2006, which totaled 96,390 units.
