ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 20 -- The University of Central Florida, a component of the Florida state university system, issued the following news release:
The UCF cheerleading squad captured third place Sunday night in the finale of the 2008 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.
UCF, the defending national champion, was seeded second going into the competition behind the eventual 2008 national champion Kentucky . . .
