ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 16 -- The University of Central Florida, a component of the Florida state university system, issued the following news release:
The UCF Student Union reopened at about 10:15 a.m. Friday after an hourlong evacuation prompted by smoke in a second-floor computer lab.
The cause of the smoke was a light fixture in the computer lab, and the fixture has been replaced, said Suzi Halpin, director of the Student Union.
