KNIGHTS WIN CONFERENCE USA TITLE; ACCEPT BID TO LIBERTY BOWL

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 5 -- The University of Central Florida, a component of the Florida state university system, issued the following news release:

Star running back Kevin Smith and an energetic crowd led the UCF Knights to their first Conference USA championship on Saturday, and the team immediately accepted a bid to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Dec. 29.

The Liberty Bowl game against Mississippi State will cap UCF's first season with an on-campus football stadium. F . . .
