ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 13 -- The University of Central Florida, a component of the Florida state university system, issued the following news release:
A boat designed and built by the Robotics Club at UCF won first place and $8,000 in prize money at the Autonomous Surface Vehicle Competition last week in San Diego.
"Son of a Boatname" weighed about 30 pounds and featured a 40-inch long and 36-inch wide platform for a propulsion system, water cannon, GPS, comp . . .
