ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla., Aug. 23 -- Alachua County issued the following news release:
The center of Tropical Storm Fay is now 45 miles southwest of Tallahassee. Alachua County has experienced 3 - 6.5 inches of rain and flooding is still a possibility particularly as rains from Georgia flow into Florida rivers. Alachua will remain under a tornado watch until 3 p.m. today.
Some utilities customers are continuing to experience power outages, but crews are working diligen . . .
