FORT MEYERS, Fla., March 19 -- The Lee County School District has issued the following news release:
This year, 52 Lee County schools have been honored by the Florida Department of Education with the annual Golden and Silver School Awards. These awards are given to schools that exceed the Florida DOE's criteria for volunteer service. Only secondary schools are eligible for the Silver School Award.
