TROPICAL STORM FAY PROMPTS ACTIVATION OF SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT CITIZEN INFORMATION LINE

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Aug. 18 -- The South Florida Water Management District issued the following news release:

As Tropical Storm Fay approaches the west coast of Florida, the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) has established a Citizen Information Line (1-877-429-1294 or 561-682-6234) to answer inquires and receive reports of flooding from residents.

The District this evening also activated its Emergency Operations Center at the agency's headquarters . . .
