LEGISLATURE 'HUNTS DOWN' TIMELY REFORM FOR YOUNG SPORTSMEN

ALBANY, N.Y., July 3 -- Assemblyman David R. Townsend Jr., R-Kirkland (115th District), issued the following column:

At the close of its 2008 session, the Legislature took a big step forward, finally approving legislation, which would promote hunting and trapping for young sportsmen. New York has had some of the strictest outdoor recreation laws on the books, making it difficult for minors to gain experience hunting and trapping; but, fortunately, a bill, which passed both the Ass . . .
