The gray and orange LC-130 Hercules, one of the world's largest cargo aircraft with skis, touched down 10,600 feet above sea level onto the frozen ice sheet here July 24 to continue an airlift mission that serves as the only supply line for some of the world's leading scientists studying our planet.
