ALBANY, N.Y., Aug. 2 -- Gov. Eliot Spitzer, D-N.Y., has issued the following news release:
Governor Eliot Spitzer and Mayor Michael Bloomberg today announced that Governor Spitzer has signed into law New York City's first-ever local Child Care Tax Credit. The tax credit is designed to assist low-income families with the cost of child care for children under the age of 4, and it is estimated that up to 49,000 New York City families will qualify for this benefit.
