NEW YORK, Aug. 2 -- The Federal Reserve Bank of New York issued the following press release:
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is strongly considering discontinuing the publication of foreign exchange rates at the end of 2008, given the availability of alternative market-based sources for these rates. The New York Fed currently publishes foreign exchange rates at 10 am and noon each business day on its website. A final decision will be announced in September 2007.
