NEW YORK, Aug. 2 -- The New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority issued the following news release:
The MTA Long Island Rail Road will replace a major switch along with track work in the Queens Village area during three weekends in August requiring Hempstead Branch customers to use buses instead of trains for at least part of their trips during the three weekends, August 4-5, August 11-12 and part of August 18-19.
