SALINAS, Calif., Aug. 1 -- Monterey County issued the following press release:
It is West Nile Virus season and human cases have been reported in the State of California. There have not been any reported cases Monterey County this year. However, individuals are still encouraged to protect themselves and their families from possible West Nile Virus exposure.
