ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- 22nd Century, Williamsville, New York, has been assigned a patent (No. 10,030,249, initially filed Sept. 11, 2015) developed by two co-inventors for "nucleic acid sequences encoding transcription factors regulating alkaloid biosynthesis and their use in modifying plant metabolism." The co-inventors are Jonathan Page, Saskatoon, Canada, and Andrea T. Todd, Saskatoon, Canada.
