WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency issued the following news release on Jan. 24, 2022:
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced today that Navy Shipfitter 1st Class Charles F. Perdue, 32, of Salisbury, Maryland, killed during World War II, was accounted for on Oct. 14, 2020.
On Dec. 7, 1941, Perdue was assigned to the battleship USS Oklahoma, which was moored at Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, when the ship . . .
