CHICAGO, Illinois, Oct. 15 -- The National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) issued the following news release:

Amtrak is prepared to accommodate the surge of Thanksgiving travelers with extra trains in Downstate Illinois and Michigan, plus additional capacity on other Amtrak MidwestSM network routes for the holiday. Extra trains are scheduled to and from Chicago and the Illinois stations in Normal and Quincy, along with the Michigan stations in Ann Arbor and Holland.
