AMIA Applauds ABPM Policy Change

BETHESDA, Maryland, Aug. 16 -- The American Medical Informatics Association issued the following news release:

On August 16, the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) announced a policy change, reducing the burden for diplomates recertifying in Clinical Informatics (CI). Effective January 1, 2019, CI diplomates certified by the ABPM will no longer be required to maintain their primary certification in order to recertify in their subspecialty.
