WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 -- The Federal Election Commission issued the following news release:
The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit today issued an Opinion and Judgment affirming the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska's decision in McChesney, et al. v. FEC (Case No. 16-168), upholding the Commission's authority to impose civil penalties through its Administrative Fine Program for violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act (the Act). . . .
