IRVING, Texas, April 20 -- The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame issued the following news release:
Coach Earle Bruce, a 2002 College Football Hall of Fame inductee who tallied a career 154-90-2 record while leading programs at Tampa, Iowa State, Ohio State, Northern Iowa and Colorado State, passed away April 20. He was 87.
A native of Cumberland, Md., Bruce began his coaching career while he was still a student at Ohio State. As a sophomore running . . .
