ST. PAUL, Minnesota, Jan. 17 -- Minnesota Senate Republicans issued the following statement by Minnesota State Sen. Andrew Lang, R-Olivia, on the assessment of the Appleton prison:
An assessment of the Prairie Correctional Facility - a 1,600-bed prison located in Appleton that has sat empty since 2010 - was completed and submitted to the legislature this week.
