LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas, Dec. 8 -- Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge issued the following statement after Gov. Asa Hutchinson issued a directive to the Arkansas Department of Health regarding the issuance of birth certificates:
"Governor Hutchinson's directive to the Health Department to issue birth certificates to same sex couples is consistent with the agreement the parties in litigation submitted earlier this week.
