Alleged Market Manipulator Pleads Guilty in Parallel Criminal Case

WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 -- The Securities and Exchange Commission issued the following litigation release:

An alleged market manipulator in an SEC enforcement action filed earlier this year has now pled guilty in a parallel criminal case and is scheduled for sentencing later this year.

The criminal charges stem from the same misconduct alleged in the SEC's complaint filed on April 7, 2016, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Robert Raffa, of Penaco . . .
