Bill Would Require Notification of Obligation, Restrictions

SALEM, Ore., March 20 -- The Oregon Senate Democrats issued the following news release:

A bill that passed the Oregon Senate today will require notification of firearm purchasing restrictions and sex offender registry requirements to individuals who meet certain criteria.

Senate Bill 66 - which passed on a 26-0 vote on the Senate floor - requires courts to notify those who are determined by the court to have mental illness that they have a prohibition on purchasing . . .
