WASHINGTON, Nov. 20 (TNSFR) -- The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), New York, has petitioned the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration for a temporary waiver of compliance from certain Federal railroad safety regulations concerning recording devices on its locomotives.
