BETHESDA, Maryland, Oct. 10 -- The National Institutes of Health's Center for Cancer Research issued the following news:
Although rare, Kaposi sarcoma herpesvirus (KSHV)-associated inflammatory cytokine syndrome (KICS) and KSHV-multicentric Castleman disease (MCD) can both occur in people who are living with HIV. These diseases cause severe inflammation and can be fatal if they are not treated.
