WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 -- Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Nebraska, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, a member of the Senate Finance Committee, cosponsored the introduction of the "Prohibiting IRS Financial Surveillance Act." The legislation would stop the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from implementing Democrats' plan to give the agency access to transaction information of virtually every American.
