MONTGOMERY, Alabama, April 10 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama issued the following news release on April 9, 2021:

On Thursday, April 8, 2021, three defendants pleaded guilty to conspiring to defraud the Alabama State Department of Education (ASDE) by falsely inflating the number of students enrolled in public virtual schools, announced the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Alabama.
