SILVER SPRING, Maryland, Aug. 14 -- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued the following feature story:

NOAA Fisheries Atlantic salmon researchers have found that Atlantic salmon abundance can increase as more young fish and returning adults survive their encounters with dams.
