Open Space Institute: New York's Decision to Not Place Environmental Bond Act on November 2020 Ballot

NEW YORK, July 31 -- The Open Space Institute issued the following statement by President and CEO Kim Elliman in response to the news that the Environmental Bond Act was removed from the November ballot:
"It is unfortunate that Governor Cuomo and the Division of Budget have opted not to proceed with the Environmental Bond Act, citing the state's fiscal condition. As the state continues to respond to COVID-19, the now eliminated Environmental Bond Act measure was a critical opp . . .
