NEW YORK, July 30 -- New York Civil Liberties Union issued the following news release:
The New York Civil Liberties Union, American Civil Liberties Union, and the law firm Latham & Watkins LLP took legal action last night seeking to ensure New Yorkers are better able to register to vote in the November election.
The groups filed a preliminary injunction in their existing lawsuit, League of Women Voters v. Board of Elections, challenging the state's 25-day voter regi . . .
