National Black Justice Coalition Calls for Justice for Brian 'Egypt' Powers and Kemar Soloman

NEW YORK, July 29 -- The National Black Justice Coalition issued the following statement by Executive Director David J. Johns in response to the murder of Brian Egypt Powers, a Black transgender man in Akron, Ohio and Kemar Soloman, a transgender woman in the Bronx, New York whose race has not yet been reported:

"While the national focus on the effort to ensure #AllBlackLivesMatter shifts to the upcoming presidential election and the unrelenting pressures associated with COVID- . . .
