BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, July 23 -- The University of Alabama Birmingham campus issued the following news:
The Jefferson County Commission voted to allocate up to $6.4 million in CARES Act funding to increase COVID-19 testing in the county, particularly in underserved communities. The funds will enable the University of Alabama at Birmingham Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center to expand its testing operations throughout the county.
