NEW YORK, July 22 -- The Surveillance Technology Oversight Project issued the following news release:

The Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.), a New York-based privacy group, and Shearman & Sterling, a leading international law firm, announced the filing of a lawsuit against the NYPD for refusing to disclose records on facial recognition in Times Square.
