NEW YORK, July 22 -- The American Civil Liberties Union, a 501(c)3 non-profit that works to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the U.S., issued the following statement on July 17 by Interim Executive Director Jann Carson:
According to reports overnight, federal authorities in Portland, OR, continued to fire tear gas at protesters and have been grabbing protesters off of streets in unmarked vehicles.
