WASHINGTON, July 14 -- Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine, issued the following news release:
Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) and Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (R-Neb.) asked U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Sonny Perdue to make the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) more inclusive for small, diversified farms who rely on local market outlets and direct-to-consumer sales. CFAP was designed to provide relief to American farmers during supply chain disruptions . . .
