NEW YORK, July 14 -- NYU Langone Health, an academic medical center affiliated with New York University, issued the following news release:
People with breast cancer are 60 percent more likely to die of cancer after surviving a heart attack, a new study finds.
Led by researchers at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, the study shows how heart attacks, by blocking blood flow through arteries, trigger a specific, procancer immune reaction.
