MEDIA, Pennsylvania, June 5 -- Pennsylvania State University's Brandywine Campus issued the following news:

Wiebke Strehl, dean of humanities and professor of German at the University of North Carolina Ashville, has been named director of academic affairs at Penn State Brandywine, effective Aug. 3.

Brandywine Chancellor Marilyn Wells noted Strehl's extensive experience and accomplishments in higher education will support the campus' expanding academic programs.
