WASHINGTON, April 24 -- Rep. Raul M. Grijalva, D-Arizona, chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee, issued the following statement on April 23 on a report by the Nuclear Fuels Working Group recommending radical deregulation of the uranium mining industry:
"The Trump administration wants uranium mining near the Grand Canyon without even minimal public oversight, and it doesn't care about the consequences.
