SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota, April 7 -- Sanford Health issued the following news:

Doctors and medical researchers are still learning about the effects of this new virus on pregnancy.

Interim guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released March 16 address coronavirus and pregnancy, breastfeeding and potential risks to mom or baby. Recommendations from the CDC and Sanford Health say pregnant women may be considered at a higher risk for COVID-19 . . .
