ATLANTA, Georgia, March 4 -- The State Bar of Georgia issued the following letter to the editor of the Augusta Chronicle:
To the Editor:
The State Bar of Georgia extends condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Augusta attorney and former state Sen. James L. "Jimmy" Lester Jr., whose passing Feb. 17 has left us all saddened.
A member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1957, Sen. Lester had a long career in the legal profes . . .
