BCPS Students Earn 2nd Place, 3rd Place Wins in WJZ's Annual Black History Oratory Competition

TOWSON, Maryland, Feb. 29 -- Baltimore County Public Schools issued the following news release:
Ben Matz, a Grade 11 student at Pikesville High School, and Lauren Rasmussen, a Grade 12 student at Hereford High School, earned second and third place wins, respectively, in the WJZ's Annual Black History Oratory Competition.
As semifinalists, Matz and Rasmussen presented their memorized orations on Feb. 23 at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History . . .
