HUNTINGTON, West Virginia, Feb. 22 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued the following news release:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District announces that it has activated its Emergency Operations Center in order to proactively monitor the needs of local communities during the on-going high water event.
Recent precipitation has caused increased run off in steep and already saturated areas and has caused many rivers and streams to overflow their banks . . .
